The website and its preview
The operator is identified in the legal notice. This is an informational website. It has no account, contact form, upload or editable diary. The guided preview shows screenshots with fictional entries; selecting a step does not submit personal writing.
Our website code loads no optional analytics or advertising tools and writes no cookies, local storage or session storage. The preview selection exists only while the page is open. The local-first storage described for the app prototype is separate from this screenshot preview.
Website delivery and security
Cloudflare handles requests needed to deliver and protect the website. These may include an IP address, requested address, request time, browser or connection details and security signals. This processing supports the legitimate interests of making the site available, diagnosing problems and securing it.
Provider-side logs and retention depend on enabled services and account settings. Those details remain under review, so no fixed deletion period is asserted here. Cloudflare describes its processing in its privacy policy. See cookies and storage for the distinction between the website code and hosting security.
Email enquiries
If you email michael.n@orbinook.com, Orbinook receives your address and the message, contact details and attachments you choose to include. They are used to respond and continue the conversation. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. Please send only the information needed for the enquiry.
Orbinook and its mailbox provider, Zoho Mail, handle correspondence. The basis is the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or steps you request before a contract where applicable. See Zoho’s privacy policy.
The proposed rule is to review ordinary enquiries for deletion after 12 months without a substantive exchange. This remains a policy target awaiting operational adoption; automatic deletion is not currently claimed. Correspondence needed for an ongoing matter, legal obligation or claim may require longer retention.
Providers and locations
Cloudflare and Zoho operate internationally. The relevant account locations, contractual safeguards, backup arrangements and provider retention settings remain to be confirmed. We do not claim that all processing stays in France or the European Union.
This website does not send preview interactions or diary entries to Claude. The planned Claude API workflow concerns internal development material and is described on Building with Claude. Any future product data collection needs its own accurate notice.

Contact michael.n@orbinook.com to ask about information held in connection with your enquiry or to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable. You may also object where the applicable conditions are met. Some information may need to be retained for a legal obligation or claim.
The CNIL explains data-protection rights and how to make a complaint. This notice will be updated if the website’s collection or providers change.
